Jean-Louis Trapet is renown as one of the greatest winemakers of the Côte de Nuits. His family estate, founded by his great-grandfather in 1869, consists of 15 hectares of some the most beautiful vines around Gevrey.
With his wife Andrée, the couple also owns an estate in Alsace, with 6 hectares near Riquewihr.
In both regions, Domain Trapet uses biodynamic viticulture to produce wines that are the closest possible reflection of their terroir, from Villages wines that are recognized by amateurs among the very best of their appellations, to Grand Cru masterpieces highly sought by collectors around the world.
